About Our College
The Institution was established in 1984 by Sarvajana Education Society (R). The same was handed over to Sree Siddaganga Education Society (R) during the year 1988-89.
Sree Siddaganga First Grade College of Arts and Commerce, located in Nelamangala established in the year 1984-85, is the pioneer in catering education in the field of Social Sciences and Commerce at the UG level in the Bengaluru Rural District, Karnataka State. It is managed by Sree Siddaganga Education Society(R) Tumkur , Karnataka.
Sree Siddaganga Education Society (R) is one of the oldest education societies in Karnataka, rendering yeoman service to mankind.
Karnataka Rathna and Padma Bhushana Dr. Sree Sree Shivakumara Maha Swamiji, is the Founder of the Society. Our college offers two UG programmes like B.A and B.Com courses affiliated to Bangalore University. The institution is making all efforts to realize its noble vision to providing value based education at an affordable cost by giving admission to students of all walks of life. Our students have also excelled both in curricular and extracurricular activities. Our College has secured 11 ranks at the University Level securing 5th and 8th rank in Arts and 7th rank in Commerce. Besides, Sri Santhosh Kumar having secured highest marks in History has won the cash prize award from Bangalore University. At present the college has a Winner Ball Badminton, Runnerup Women’s Throw-ball team at Inter University Level, won the Cricket Tournament First place, Volley ball Second place and Kabbadi Second place held during the year 2018-19.
Students strength of the college is 436 and ably guided by well qualified faculty. The Institution is located very close to National Highway – 48
Our College Library is in the campus with floor area of 4000 sq.ft. having total seating capacity of 300 students at a time. It has a good stock of reference books, text journals, periodicals, daily news papers, E-Jouranals etc.,
The College has a very good computer centre, having 40 systems and other equipments associated with the computers. Students are given regular training in the basic course to meet the needs of the industries, such as internet facilities, business lab, language lab, geography lab, LCD facilities are also available to the Students.
